The new Barbie - Tattoos like it or not

I have to laugh at the amount of controversy theTotally Stylin' Tattoo Barbie" is causing. After all it is nearly impossible to go anywhere these days without seeing a tattoo. I’m pretty sure every single child has seen one at a grocery store, the Mall, the beach or yes, even at church.

Really, does anyone honestly believe that having their daughter (or son) play with theTotally Stylin' Tattoo Barbie" is going to make them wait 12 years (the legal age is 18 to get one) and run out and cover themselves in tattoos? I would bet the reality of that possibility is no higher than that same child becoming a Doctor simple because they played with Doctor Barbie!

Totally Stylin' Tattoos Barbie" comes with a set of body art stickers that can be placed anywhere on Barbie’s body. It also comes with a tattoo gun which allows kids to stamp designs on themselves: all of which are temporary and easily wash off. Oh the horror of it all - It isn’t as if kids don’t already stick stickers or temporary tattoos on themselves!.

Mattel actually launched its first tattooed Barbie about 10 years ago, with some retailers pulling the dolls from their shelves after parents complained. Personally, I find the all the Bratz dolls a lot more controversial than the Tot than the Totally Stylin' Tattoo Barbie" and really can’t see what the big deal is.
